About Us
Brief Over View of Images Photography and Heidi Maria Faul
Images Photography was built on the passions of three generations of photographers from John Faul Sr., John Faul Jr. and Heidi M. Faul. Heidi is a third generation Professional Photographer whose studio has been dedicated to excellence since 1955. It was founded by her Opa (Grandfather) in the 50s, passed to her father, and then to Heidi
John Sr. started the Leica Studio in the 1950’s after arriving from Germany. In 1966 John Jr. took over and changed the name to Images Photography. His success led him to a career teaching Photo Journalism at Conestoga College.
Heidi could not resist the intrigue of the profession and took over ownership of Images Photography in 1997. Photography has been a love of Heidi since she was a young child, capturing pictures of flowers and bugs in the back yard. She spent most of her child hood working as her father’s assistant where she experienced many new ideas and techniques.
To help round her repertoire of skills, Heidi has continuously taken technique and equipment courses to evolve with the industry. Heidi still appreciates the uniqueness of film, but has migrated to digital to offer her customers a blend of both techniques and their format specific qualities and traits.
This past August I had the pleasure of taking a course at the Niagara School of Imaging. Here are a few shots taken by Mr. Lyle Webb, of myself with fellow photographers in action plus a silly group shot of the entire gang and instructor James
